Join Us! An inclusive art exhibition featuring local and international artists!!
“Uniting Borders 2023-2024: A Celebration of Empowering Artists with Disabilities”
Join us for an inspiring journey of art and inclusivity at the Alhambra City Hall Gallery Lobby, where “Uniting Borders 2023-2024” brings together a remarkable collection of original artworks. Organized by The Academy of Special Dreams, Baupres, and The ALHAMBRA, this inclusive art exhibition is a testament to the rich tapestry of human diversity, embracing artists of all backgrounds, abilities, ages, and identities.
Michael Dergar, CEO of The Academy of Special Dreams, emphasized, “This exhibition is a profound step towards social justice, reminding us that inclusivity is the heart of progress. Every artist, regardless of disability, contributes to the vibrancy of our society.”
A highlight of the event is the recognition of local talents from LIFT and Alhambra Unified School District, winners of The Academy’s Art Competition 2023. These budding artists represent the future of creative expression, breaking barriers with their exceptional works.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, partners, and supporters who champion our mission of empowering artists. The California Arts Council, BAUPRES, The Alhambra, The Alhambra Chamber of Commerce, AUSD, The City of Alhambra, 1st Century Bank, Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Favor Wealth and a dedicated team of volunteers have joined hands to build a more inclusive society through the arts.
