Naiomi Thomas

BIOGRAPHY: My name is Naiomi Thomas and Iam a Senior at Alhambra High School. In my work, I have always gotten my inspiration from my grandmother (Urith) because she was alway the first one to tell me “who cares what everyone else thinks about your artwork it only matters what you think about it”. I grew up teaching myself how to paint, draw and sketch, I never had an art teacher or an art class, it was always self motivation. I think being in my club (Artists Anonymous) has taught me a lot just to drawing body structures to the basics I already knew before hand. This club would be my first “art class”. I love the way I can express myself though art, whether that may be a certain emotion that I feel or just in the mood to do something productive I know that at the end of the day, I know that I’am my toughest critic and my opinion of my artwork matter to me most.
