Wheelchair donation “Monarca Project 2025”

In the heart of Mazatlán, where the ocean meets rolling hills and vibrant communities, a quiet movement of compassion began to take flight. It started with a simple dream—to restore mobility, dignity, and independence to those who needed it most.

That dream became reality through the Monarca Project, powered by the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation, the Rotary Clubs of Alhambra and Monterey Park, our international partners at Rotary Mazatlán Norte, the Museo de Arte Mazatlán, and a beautiful network of Supporters whose generosity carried this mission forward.

Together, step by step, call by call, heart by heart, this collective of dreamers made something extraordinary happen:
29 wheelchairs were delivered to vulnerable families across Mazatlán.

But these were not just wheelchairs.
They were symbols of hope.
Of freedom.
Of the human right to move, to participate, to belong.

Each chair brought a new chapter for an elderly parent who could now leave the house again, for a child who could finally attend school, or for a person with disabilities who regained not only mobility but a sense of dignity that had once felt unreachable.

This impact echoes the words of the World Health Organization, reminding us that mobility is a foundation of human rights—and yet millions around the world still lack access to the wheelchairs they need.

Thanks to your kindness, this story is changing.

To every donor, partner, friend, and supporter who believed in this dream—
thank you.
Your generosity is the reason these families now face the world with renewed strength and possibility.

Thanks to you, empowerment is real.
Thanks to you, inclusion is alive.
Thanks to you, dignity is in action.

Together, we lift communities.
Together, we change lives.
Together, we Unite for Good.

With profound gratitude,

Michael Dergar & The Academy of Special Dreams Family
