Welcome Academy Community Ambassador Zoila Fernandez Fernandez

The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation is honored to welcome international International artist Zoila Fernandez Fernandez.  Fernandez is a true inspiration of perseverance, dedication and integrity in the Arts.

On behalf of the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation we welcome Zoila Fernandez Fernandez as our Academy Community Ambassador 2022.

Thank you Maestra Zoila for helping us to create a more inclusive society in the arts in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. Zoila Fernandez collaboration with The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation for the past 3 years is a true testimony of inclusion and diversity in the arts.  Thank you for helping us to create a more inclusive society regardless of disabilities.

A little bit about The Academy Community Ambassador Zoila Fernandez Fernandez.

Since 1980 Zoila F. has been a teacher of Ballet, Pointe and Repertoire of the Republic of Cuba, graduating in 1995 as a Bachelor of Dance Art, at the Higher Institute of Art of Cuba, being the best graduate of her generation, obtaining the Gold Title.
 
She has been to many countries Internationally including Venezuela; Argentina, Africa representing what she loves the most “Her passion for Dance”. Since 1998 Zoila lived in Mazatlan Mexico, 1998 representing as a Methodological Adviser to the Cuban Ballet School and teaching and creating in Mazatlan, Sin. Mexico has had new generations of dancers for more than 20 years.

Her techniques include teaching Pointe, Repertoire, Ballet Methodology and Dance History just to mention a few. As of June 1, 2019, she was appointed Artistic Director of The Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlan where she proudly served and continues to be part of.

Maestra Zoila Fernandez has carried out different investigations for the teaching of ballet and training of dancers, some of which have been awarded in scientific events in the Republic of Cuba and are found in the art libraries of the province of Camaguey Cuba, as a reference, in addition to having been for two years a teacher of Ballet Methodology at the Higher Institute of Art of Cuba

She implemented her extended knowledge in numerous Ballet events and Dance Congresses representing her lovely Mazatlan, Internationally.  During her amazing career Zoila Fernandez has been recognized locally and internationally as one of the best in the dance world.
