Alhambra Rotary Club in collaboration with the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation donated to Grupo Rotario Mazatlán Norte and other institutions 20 wheelchairs to help the most vulnerable families in need of a wheelchair in Mazatlán Mexico.
Thanks to the generosity of many including Bianca Cruz, Isabel Carlo, Helen Woo and many friends of the Academy, we were able to provide to very low income families 20 wheel chairs and financial support to artists with disabilities.
Our mission with this inclusive event was to help the most vulnerable community in Mexico, people with disabilities in need of a wheelchair for their daily mobility to live independently, enjoy self- determination, make choices, contribute to society, pursue meaningful careers, and enjoy full inclusion and integration in the mainstream of a society.
“This support fulfilled an international mission of the Alhambra Rotary Club and The Academy to help very poor families living with disabilities” said Michael Dergar, founder of the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation.
This collaboration with Alhambra Rotary Club, Rotary Club Mazatlan North and many other community leaders and friends in Mazatlan Mexico made this event a wonderful success!
Thank you Julieta Lomelí, Dory Perdomo and Maru Pombo for all you do to help us to make a more inclusive society internationally!
Special thanks to all volunteers that made this event a memorable event of collaboration, inclusion and art!
Thank you all!
Michael Dergar
