Alex Nguyen is a Los Angeles based singer and instrumentalist. As a choral singer, he has performed with notable ensembles and directors all across California. His solo work includes music from an array of genres from classical art songs to 20th century songbook and contemporary pop.
As an aspiring conductor, Alex is primarily concerned with promoting music and voices from historically underrepresented cultures. He is strongly influenced by his background as a Vietnamese American.
Alex currently studies Music Education at the California State University, Los Angeles where he sings with the Chamber Singers. There, he works under the direction of Professor Robert MacNeil, Professor Donald Brinegar, and Dr. Christopher Gravis.
