In 2020 while utilizing art in Family therapy, I was shocked when I met my first alter while drawing. This led to a diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder. This disorder used to be known as Multiple Personality Disorder or MPD, but the name has been changed to Dissociative Identity Disorder or DID. It was changed because it is not a
personality disorder but more of an identity one.
