I’ve always enjoyed art in many forms from animation to theater. When I was younger with my autism, I struggled in school and out so we decided to try theater to help me overcome some of the social struggles. I started with just a summer camp and found out that I loved it. I acted on stage for many years. From there I started to do some background and extra work in movies and tv shows and what that showed me was that I love to be behind the camera.
I’ve found that I love photography the past few years however and have been working to become a photographer. I have been fond of Nat Geo for as long as I can remember whether it was their pictures in magazines or their nature movies.
I face quite a few challenges as an artist with disabilities such as not being able to go out whenever I want because of my immunodeficiency. I need to be careful in large areas with a lot of people as I can get sick really easily. Sometimes, my autism affects me when I go to take photos. These two things could be a hindrance but I am dedicated and will not allow them to stop me from achieving my goals.
