Annie Young
My name is Annie Young. I am a proud grandmother! Most days I spend balancing my time between volunteering in my community, training for triathlons and working in my studio.
I started to lose my eye-sight several years ago. With encouragement from a dear friend, I found I could continue to create the visions that lingered in my mind. I initially navigated the picture plane with my fingers and would get lost in my process of moving the weight and texture about. In the last couple years, my confidence grew and I began painting with a brush.
I live to create, to give and to share what is inside of me. Many of my paintings reflect my love of flowers, geometry and my faith. I am most blessed when my work speaks to another’s heart.
Recently, I started to blog. This platform provides me with an opportunity to share in greater detail the stories behind my work.
