The Academy of Special Dreams is honored to welcome Wendy as our Community Ambassador.
My name is Wendy and I work as an inclusion assistant for the special education department. I work with other paraprofessionals and teachers to ensure students have an equal opportunity to be included in all classes. I modify school curriculum as needed for the students I work with. I love what I do and my job is my life. My students are the reason for my determination to finish college and get a teaching credential for special education. I am currently debating whether to obtain a mild-moderate or moderate-severe credential. My dream is to have my very own classroom of students with autism. I want to give back to my students as much as I can because they have given me so much inspiration and love. I realized that not only can an adult teach a child, but a child can teach an adult. Every student I have worked with has given me some kind of motivation to make me a stronger and better person. I am so happy and proud to be a part of the Academy of Special Dreams as a volunteer. Thank you Academy of Special Dreams for helping others make their dreams come true.
