Several significant and meaningful experiences led me to discover my passion for special education. I earned my BFA and MFA (Dance) from Texas Christian University and began teaching dance in Fort Worth School District along with various Park and Recreation Programs. I soon became inspired to become a full-time classroom teacher, and after moving back to my home state of California, began substitute teaching with Glendale Unified School District while earning my teaching credential. I taught elementary grade students throughout the school district, and before long, held full-time teaching positions at John Marshall and Balboa Schools.
