Bringing Awareness to Artists in the Special Needs Community
The Dream team supported AIDS Walk Los Angeles
Hi, I am Elizabeth Woo the Advisory Director from the Academy of Special Dreams. I decided to do the AIDS walk LA to fight this deadly global disease. This year’s walk began at West Hollywood Park.
It was a wonderful day for the event- the weather was perfect; bright sunny skies and the energy was positive, inspiring and contagious. So many of the participants were our youth which touched me because this is hope that our youth can carry our future with their energy, participation and compassion for others suffering. The majority of the majorities of the participants were from high school groups. The 10K walk through the streets of West Hollywood was fun and uplifting. A great experience to be helping support a great cause so that AIDS will be non-existent someday.
I encourage everyone to donate some of their time, energy or dollars to a cause that’s meaningful to them. It is a great experience and a model of how one can help touch and make a difference in others lives.
